Spring 2022 Career Fair

Registration for the Spring 2022 Virtual Career Fair is open! The event will occur on Thursday, March 31st, from 12 – 4 pm CDT in our online job platform, Handshake. Students will be able to meet with employers in live synchronous group or 1:1 sessions. We currently have over  30 employers participating in the fair with various job and internship opportunities nationwide. The career fair is ideal for all current job seekers and upcoming and recent graduates. To attend the Career Fair, students will need to log in to Handshake and register for the event. An overview video on how to utilize Handshake’s Virtual Career Fair Platform along with the Career Fair registration link is available on the Career Fair page. Career Fair Events On-line & On campus

The Fall 2021 Career Fair is October 21st on Handshake.   Gavilon, Lincoln Electric Systems, and Nebraska Department of Correctional Services (NDCS) have selected Cybersecurity majors as a target audience for them.  There may be more as employers can register until 10/18.

NDCS will also be attending the Pop Up Employer fair on campus Tuesday, October 12th 

Local employers will be “Popping Up” all around BRUIN Plaza (courtyard by Humanities Building) with FT, PT, & Internship opportunities on Tuesday, October 12, 2021 from 11 am – 1 pm CDT. Students may find more information on Handshake at https://bellevue.joinhandshake.com/career_fairs/28182.

Minervaverse Launching Monday, October 4th

Minervaverse is a private Discord-server based social and professional club for women in cybersecurity who are affiliated with Bellevue University (students, alumni, faculty, staff).  Our name is from Minerva, the Roman Goddess of wisdom, strategic warfare, and technology. Our mascot is an owl and our motto is “Alis grave nil” – “Nothing is heavy with wings”. Discord is a free text, voice-, and video-enabled collaboration platform available for desktop (PC or Mac) or mobile.

Minervaverse activities will include guest speakers, networking, mentoring, resource sharing, and fun!  It’s intended to be a secure and welcoming place where everyone is free to be authentic and grow together. Women at all levels of cybersecurity experience and knowledge are encouraged to join.

We officially launch on Monday, October 4, 2021, as part of Cybersecurity Awareness Month. USSTRATCOM Opens PALACE Acquire Internship Program

Great opportunity for recent grads and graduating seniors (Dec 2021) to intern with United States Strategic Command in Omaha NE. Read below for job description and qualifications.


The U.S. Strategic Command (USSTRATCOM) located at Offutt Air Force Base, NE is seeking recent college graduates (May/August 2021 graduates) and graduating seniors (December 2021 graduates) from accredited colleges or universities to be trained in STEM positions (math, operations, engineering, science) in the prestigious PALACE Acquire (PAQ) Internship Program, a post-grad internship program that essentially is a full-time job part of a 3-year program (full-time competitive salary and benefits, and the program would allow candidates to obtain a Master’s Degree paid for by the Government and an opportunity to enter federal service afterward as part of the team here at USSTRATCOM afterward). Candidates will learn from some of the very best, working shoulder to shoulder with Air Force Civilian Service (AFCS) Managers who help connect resources to mission priorities and provide vital decision-making support to the Air Force and their mission in air, space, and cyberspace.

This is an opportunity to make a meaningful contribution and apply innovative solutions on challenging and rewarding projects. As a PAQ intern, candidates will gain real-world experience. QUALIFICATIONS & ELIGIBILITY: 

• U.S. citizenship required 

• Recent college graduates, graduating seniors, or those completing advanced degrees from an accredited college or university

• GPA 2.95 or above 

• Ability to obtain Security Clearance (funded by USAF) 

FULL-TIME PALACE ACQUIRE (PAQ) INTERN PROGRAM: 

• A formal 3 year training and career development track 

• Real-world projects and missions 

• Mentoring provided by Senior Operations Research Analysts 

• Opportunities to lead projects 

• Annual performance-based promotions 

• Placement into a permanent AFCS position as a professional-level Operations Research Analyst once the PAQ program is successfully completed 

A FULL-TIME OFFER INCLUDES FEDERAL BENEFITS AS WELL AS THESE INCENTIVES: 

• Recruitment Bonus for selected positions 

• Student Loan Repayment 

• Paid move to employment location (Offutt AFB, NE) 

• 100% Tuition Assistance toward a graduate degree while in the PAQ Program

Outside of this program for undergraduates, they are also targeting a graduate student in Math or Ops Research programs for a full-time position in a similar role. This individual would be able to enter directly into the Federal Workforce under the Department of the Air Force, with a starting salary in the high $90s, a top secret clearance, and opportunity for growth. This position is open now.
