The announcement \nwas made Thursday, Nov. 14, 2019, during AIM\u2019s annual celebration \ncelebrating outstanding tech talent in the community.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Rausch, who also serves as Program Director for Bellevue University\u2019s\n undergraduate and graduate cybersecurity programs, has more than 30 \nyears of experience providing communication systems and cybersecurity \nexpertise in both the defense and commercial sectors. Rausch retired in \n2013 as a Colonel and cyber operations officer in the U.S. Air Force, \nwhere he held key leadership positions with Air Force Space Command and \nU.S. Strategic Command.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cDoug Rausch brings cybersecurity education to life for students,\u201d \nsaid Dr. Mary Hawkins, President of Bellevue University. \u201cHis ability to\n connect with students at every level and to seek out challenging and \nexciting opportunities for applied learning has helped hundreds of \nstudents find paths forward to successful careers.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The AIM Institute College Educator Award recognizes a post-secondary \neducator who helps develop and build the future generation of tech \ntalent and is an outstanding technology educator or administrator, a \ndynamic colleague and a caring mentor to students.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Rausch joined Bellevue University in 2014 and was named the Maenner  Endowed Chair in 2017. He is currently an Assistant Professor in the  College of Science and Technology. Under his leadership, the  University\u2019s cybersecurity program has more than doubled in enrollment  to 700+ students. Rausch played an instrumental role in the development  and design of the C&amp;A Industries Intelligence Systems Lab on the  University\u2019s main campus in Bellevue.
